Homework and Upcoming Events

Students will record any homework and/or upcoming events in their planner for each content area daily. Upcoming events may include quizzes, tests, labs, permission slips due, etc. Please review this daily with your child to help teach them organization and responsibility.

Honorable & Defining Character Communication

Planners will be utilized for both honorable & defining character communications. Honorable character communication is the positive choices your child has made. We will celebrate these choices with a card stapled into the planner to celebrate that choice. Defining character communication is the negative choices. These marks and explanations will be done in the daily Notes section of the planner.

***Only those students receiving defining character marks will require a planner signature and returned the next day.

1 = Respect

2 = Obedience

3 = Diligence

4 = Wisdom

5 = Kindness

6 = Self-Control

7 = Orderliness

8 = Service

9 = Attentiveness

10 = Cooperation

11 = Courage

12 = Honesty

13 = Forgiveness

14 = Responsibility

T = Talking

OS = Out of Seat

OR = Office Referral

V = Verbal Warning

NHW = No Homework

Office Referrals: Students will be issued one verbal warning for a defining character choice, followed by defining character marks for continued misbehavior choices. Students will be given a fresh start each class period and will start over again the next day. Students will receive an office referral for being issued more than two conduct mark in a class period and/or at teacher discretion dependent upon student behavior patterns and choices.
